A view of the Ellora caves at Aurangabad. To save the historical caves of Ajanta and Ellora from ruin, the Maharashtra Goverment has sought a financial aid of Rs 433 crore from a Japanese bank. Besides restoration of the caves, the project also envisages improving the infrastructure in the area to attract tourists.
