Rubber market inactive

Our Correspondent

KOTTAYAM, Oct. 1

THE rubber market continued to remain paralysed on Tuesday without any ups and downs.

Arrivals were sparse due to continued attempts to hold on the stocks at the producing points.

However, thin arrivals helped the market to maintain its usual activities.

Buying interests were slightly better on Tuesday following reports that more customers started negotiating for higher volumes.

The sharp decline in the International prices has not affected the price movement of the domestic market as it stayed unchanged during the last few days.

Sheet rubber RSS-4 was ruled at Rs 37.50 a kg while RSS-5 continued to remain at Rs 36.

Block rubber ISNR 20 stayed flat at Rs 36.25. Latex 60 per cent and ungraded rubber were sold at Rs 29.50 and Rs 34.50 respectively.
