55 cos registered this year

KOCHI: A total number of 55 companies including four big-sized companies have been registered in Kerala during 2002. Of this, one is a public limited company with an authorised capital of Rs 6 lakh and the rest are private companies with a total authorised capital of Rs 724 lakh.

A total of 75 cases were filed during the month for violation of various provisions of the Companies Act and an amount of Rs 78,700 imposed as fine by the court against companies and directors.
