Coffee Board clarification

With reference to a report published on September 9 on the issue of Section 7B of the Income-Tax Rules, the Coffee Board has clarified that it had only set up a working group and not a task force to look into the issue. The group has mooted a range of options for consideration by the Finance Ministry.

The board has also clarified that Mr N. Bose Mandanna, who was quoted in the report, is a former vice-chairman. The current Vice-Chairman is Mr P.R.K. Bhaskaran.
