HYDERABAD, Aug. 22

MATRIX Laboratories Ltd (MLL), the city-based pharmaceutical company, is planning to raise funds required to expand its manufacturing and research & development facilities.

Towards this, the company is likely to go in for issue of equity shares on a preferential allotment basis to a specific section of shareholders, including the promoters.

Apart from helping the company raise funds, the issue is also expected to enable the promoters to further consolidate their equity holding in the company.

The MLL board is scheduled to meet on August 29 to consider the preferential issue of equity shares, the company informed the stock exchanges on Thursday.
