Cost accountants

In a competitive environment, especially after the opening up of the economy in terms of business strategy, cost management, and real estate, there is a great need for cost accountants.

If there are more of these professionals with 20-30 years of experience heading important organisations, there will be a decline in the numbers of Harshad Mehtas and Ketan Parekhs. They would be able to manage businesses and take more quality decisions than CAs.

There is a greater need for cost auditors in business, especially in trade and commerce, than is now acknowledged. They could help the country move towards its goal of prosperity quicker.
