Letters Cost accountants
In a competitive environment, especially after the opening up of the economy in terms of business strategy, cost management, and real estate, there is a great need for cost accountants. If there are more of these professionals with 20-30 years of experience heading important organisations, there will be a decline in the numbers of Harshad Mehtas and Ketan Parekhs. They would be able to manage businesses and take more quality decisions than CAs. There is a greater need for cost auditors in business, especially in trade and commerce, than is now acknowledged. They could help the country move towards its goal of prosperity quicker. P. Bhaskara Naidu Bangalore
