KOLKATA, Aug. 14

MR Justice P.C. Ghose of the Calcutta High Court today directed the Union Government and Indian Oil Corporation (IOC) not to take any step regarding cancellation of petroleum product distributorship without the leave of the court till August 19. The court fixed the case for hearing on August 16.

Over 20 petroleum dealers and distributors filed separate writ petitions challenging the direction of the Prime Minister to the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas to initiate steps to cancel all allotments of petroleum dealerships made with effect from January 2000 till August 5, 2002.
