Upasi annual meet next month

COIMBATORE: The 109th annal conference of the United Planters' Association of Southern India (Upasi) is slated for September 3.

The Union Minister of State for Commerce and Industry, Mr Rajiv Pratap Rudy, is expected to inaugurate the conference this year.

A Upasi statement issued here said the conference would be preceded by a session on the three major plantation crops — tea, coffee and rubber, and a commodity outlook session, to be chaired by the Commerce Secretary, Mr Dipak Chaterjee, on September 2.
