BANGALORE, Aug. 6

HINDUSTAN Lever's promo for its ice-cream brand, Kwality Wall's Ek Din ka Raja, has been adjudged the `best promotional campaign in India'.

A press release from the company said that at the recently concluded Promotion Marketing Awards of Asia held in Singapore, the promo also won two awards at the Asia level - a silver for the `best idea or concept' and a bronze for the `best use of direct marketing'.

Ninety-seven campaigns from Singapore, India, the Philippines, China, Japan, Taiwan, Thailand and Korea were shortlisted for the final judging, the press release said.

Ek Din Ka Raja, claimed the press release, was the biggest consumer promo by any ice-cream brand in the country. It entitled up to 10 winners to spend Rs 10 lakh in a day's shopping with their family in Mumbai. The company also had a tie-up with Sony TV and Indiatimes.com for the promo.
