Airlines Kerala: Agreement with Air India on anvil for ayurvedic massage Our Bureau
THIRUVANANTHAPURAM, July 9 THE Kerala Tourism Department will shortly enter into a memorandum of understanding with Air India for introduction of ayurvedic massage facility in long-haul flights. The Tourism Minister, Prof K.V. Thomas, told newspersons that the facility would be made available in Air India flights from Kochi and Mumbai. It will be first introduced in the flight from Kochi to the US via Delhi and Paris from December this year. The Minister said that he would apprise the Union Minister for Civil Aviation on the need to make the Cochin international airport a hub for Air India's short and medium haul flights as also for flights to the Gulf countries. He would also seek establishment of a fuelling station in the airport. According to Prof Thomas, Kerala was for co-operation with other States in the area of tourism. Towards this end, the Tourism Ministers of Rajasthan and Punjab would visit the State after the current Assembly session was over, and he would , would visit these States subsequently. The Tourism Department is planning to hold road shows in Colombo, Malaysia and China as part of its efforts to widen the overseas market for the State, the Minister added.
