Two numbers in one SIM card

Our Bureau

MUMBAI: Orange, cellular service in the metro circle of Mumbai, has announced it will offer two different mobile numbers to customers on a single SIM card.

Claiming this is the first such two-numbers-in-one-phone card in the country, the company said subscribers would be able to keep two different numbers for different types of calls.

In addition each of the two numbers could be on two different tariff plans, payment options and services.

"We realised many of our subscribers were keeping two handsets, one for personal work the other for office. The dual number SIM provides greater convenience to this particular customer, as well as making pre-paid and post-paid service available together, to subscribers,'' said Mr Sanjeev Vohra, Vice President, Marketing, Orange, quoted in a news release.
