Nabard named public financial institution

NEW DELHI, April 21

THE Central Government has specified the National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (Nabard) as a `public financial institution' for the purposes of the Companies Act, 1956.

Sources said Nabard had been specified as a public financial institution under Section 4A (2) of the Companies Act, 1956.
