New Projects iCMG forays into architecture services Rukmini Priyadarshini
BANGALORE, Feb. 15 ICMG is foraying into software architecture services and expects them to contribute `significantly' to the company's revenue streams in the coming year. ``As enterprise application intgration (EAI) firms realise the compelling need for good architecture, our palette of services has found a good response in the market,'' said Mr Sunil Dutt Jha, CEO. Speaking to Business Line, Mr Jha said iCMG's services include providing application architecture, architecture assessment and training. iCMG could be offering some of these services to US aerospace giant, Lockheed Martin, and was also in talks with some of India's top vendors. The company is focussing on Europe — to develop customers and partnerships: ``We have signed up with Bill Corp, the Bhilwara Group's IT subsidiary, for our K2-based solutions as an enterprise business partner as well as with Swiss-based Tradco group,'' Mr Jha said. iCMG is also in talks with a German company for product partnership. ``We are focussed on aerospace, retail and trading verticals as well as0 on telecom,'' Mr Jha said. Three of the world's top four aerospace giants had approached iCMG in the light of its offerings and ``we expect some progress once the economic situation improves,'' he said. The move by a product company to offer these services was as much a result of understanding market needs as the need to integrate its offerings across the value chain in these troubled times, said Mr Jha. ``Customers will find that the logical continuation of our services are in our products,'' Mr Jha said. Besides, as delayed technology investments have hit small product companies worldwide, it is only natural to look to boost revenues through services. ``As companies look to build complex solutions, EAI needs better architecting solutions,'' and increasingly companies have become sensitive to these needs, said Mr Jha. "EAI will be a lucrative market for us and K2 Web services we recently launched will meet their needs," he said. iCMG also has architecture products in the pipeline.
