Stay on BSNL-Bharti issue extended

Our Bureau

NEW DELHI: The Telecom Dispute Settlement Appellate Tribunal (TDSAT) has extended the stay on the interim arrangement for distribution of all default mobile-to-mobile STD calls between Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd (BSNL) and Bharti Telesonic Ltd on alternate days until February 19.

The tribunal was expected to take a final decision on Friday, on a petition filed by BSNL on January 31, which claimed that this arrangement would amount to inequitable distribution of revenues.

BSNL has now been directed to file its reply by February 18, after which further hearing can take place, the tribunal noted.
