Rubber market improves

Our Correspondent

KOTTAYAM: Rubber market improved following entry of buyers from the tyre sector.

There was demand for other grades also. Buyers from the general rubber goods sector purchased ungraded rubber. Demand was moderate. Trading circles pointed out that improvement was mainly on account of supply crunch.

Sheet rubber RSS-4 was traded at Rs 29 in place of Rs 28.50 per kg on Wednesday. RSS-5 improved to Rs 27.75 from Rs 27.50 and ungraded rubber to Rs 26.50 from Rs 26.25. Block rubber ISNR-20 and Latex 60 per cent remained unchanged at Rs 28 per kg as on Wednesday.
