Airlines Emirates SkyCargo `best airline' Vimala Vasan
ABU DHABI, Feb. 3 EMIRATES SkyCargo has been named Best Cargo Airline to the Middle East for the 14th consecutive year and Best Cargo Airline to the Indian subcontinent for the fifth successive year by Air Cargo News. The awards, considered the Oscars of the air cargo industry, were presented at a function at London, according to an airline press release. Mr Phil Rawlings, Emirates Cargo Manager (UK and Ireland), said: "We take this opportunity to thank everyone for their invaluable support which made it possible for Emirates SkyCargo to win these awards. They are always a great thrill for us and a great motivator to serve our customers even better." The awards were the results of a readership poll, with freight forwarders as the main participants. Votes for the various categories were received from more than 40 countries. Emirates SkyCargo is a three-time winner of the Overall Cargo Airline of the Year Award, achieving hat-trick last year. This year, the ultimate accolade went to Virgin Atlantic.
