Marginal drop in ICTA prices

BANGALORE, Feb. 1

THE Indian Coffee Traders' Association sales on Thursday saw prices dropping marginally on arabica washed coffee whilst other varieties traded at last levels.

The auction saw moderate response witnessed largely by domestic traders while exporters were inactive. New arabica arrivals were generally lower and off takes are expected to improve once the coffee flow increases.

The prices on Thursday were as follows: arabica parchment PB sold for an average of Rs 49.86 per kg (Rs 51.60 last auctions); arabica parchment A Rs 50.80 (Rs 51.98); arabica parchment B Rs 43.34 (Rs 43.78); arabica parchment C Rs 35.38 (Rs 33.86); arabica parchment BBB Rs 20.60 (Rs 26.74).

Arabica cherry and robusta parchment varieties were not sold.

Robusta cherry PB Rs 23.28 (Rs 23.02); robusta cherry BBB Rs 16 (Rs 16.88).
