SBH Q3 net up 46.78 pc

HYDERABAD: State Bank of Hyderabad (SBH), the largest associate bank of State Bank of India, has registered a growth of 16.79 per cent in total income and 46.78 per cent in net profit for the third-quarter of the current fiscal year ended December 31, 2001.

While the total income was up at Rs 1,636.51 crore (Rs 1,401.23 crore), the gross profit was higher at Rs 402.22 crore (Rs 331.05 crore) and the net profit increased to Rs 151.26 crore (Rs 103.05 crore).

In a press release here on Friday, the bank said its total business increased to Rs 23,114 crore by December-end from Rs 21,933 crore at the end of March 2001. Its credit-deposit ratio stood at 55.78 per cent as at the end of December, compared to 52.82 per cent in March last year.
