Forest gooseberry on sale at Pulpally in Kerala's Wynad district. The product is extensively used for ayurvedic drug manufacture. However, it is in short supply. Tamil Nadu is a major supplier of gooseberry to the drug manufacturing industry in the State. It is sold at Rs 15-20 a kg.
