Software Corporate - New Projects Transworld to set up development centre Our Bureau
PUNE, Jan 25 TRANSWORLD Infotech Ltd (TWIL) has set up a development centre in Pune, to cater to IT requirements of the small and medium enterprises (SMEs). Talking to presspersons, the President and Chief Executive Officer of TWIL, Mr Donn Liles, noted that the current investment of $2 million has been utilised for the building and infrastructure. About the same amount would be invested in a couple of months time for software development purposes, he said. He said the current facility would be able to cater to 200 software professionals. Presently the strength is 50, which would be increased to 100 by June 2002 and 200 by June 2003. The company is also proposing to set up a new eco-friendly campus in 2003, which would cater to about 3,000 software professionals. However, he noted that the process of locating the land and other formalities has just begun.
