Taylor Nelson — MR agency of the year

NEW DELHI: Taylor Nelson Sofres (TNS) has been named the `market research agency of the year' by `Marketing' magazine.

The award is rated as among the most prestigious British Market Research Awards, a press release said. The award is based on a company's performance within key marketing disciplines, including media, design, telemarketing, public relations and market research. Companies were assessed based on a range of criteria including creativity, effective and efficient client servicing and innovative product development.

In the first six months of 2001, TNS recorded a 26.1 per cent increase in its turnover to 271 million pounds, with pre-tax profits up 9.1 per cent to 17 million pounds, the press release added.
