PUNE, Jan. 24

KPIT Infosystems Ltd, has recorded a fall in revenue for the quarter ended December 2001. The revenue for this quarter was Rs 11.57 crore as against Rs 13.39 crore revenue for the corresponding period last year.

According to a company release, the profits stood at Rs 22 lakh as compared to Rs 1.57 crore recorded during the corresponding period last year.

During the quarter, the company has added six new customers, who are expected to bring in significant business during 2002-03.

Talking to Business Line, the Managing Director, Mr Kishor Patil, noted that the dip in revenue was due to the slowdown in IT spending after the September 11 attack and market sentiment, but was hopeful of a better performance in the next fiscal.
