IT Training Corporate - Mergers & Acquisitions NIIT acquires Click2learn assets Our Bureau
NEW DELHI: NIIT Ltd said it would acquire the custom development business of the US-based Click2learn for $3 million as part of a strategic alliance between both the companies. ``NIIT will acquire Click2learn's current commercial custom development assets and transition existing projects. Click2learn will exclusively partner with NIIT for future custom development,'' a company statement said here. Under the terms of the multi-year, multi-faceted alliance, both the companies will jointly develop e-learning and knowledge solutions for the marketplace using Click2learn's Aspen platform and NIIT's knowledge centres. The size of this business is expected to be in excess of $15 millon over the first two years. NIIT will acquire the assets of Click2learn's custom development business and will be its exclusive commercial custom development partner. The alliance also establishes NIIT as a reseller of Click2learn's Aspen Enterprise Learning Platform and ToolBook line of products.
