Orders worth Rs 28 cr at Auto Expo

NEW DELHI, Jan 23

BUSINESS orders to the tune of Rs 28.27 crore were booked at the Auto Expo 2002, which concluded here on Tuesday, according to the Confederation of Indian Industry.

Export orders were worth $7.63 million and an additional 2,101 export enquiries had been generated and these were expected to materialise into orders in the near future, CII said.

The expo witnessed the signing of nine joint ventures, of which six involved technical and financial collaboration, while three were purely technical.

About 10 lakh general visitors and 1.2 lakh business visitors came for the sixth edition of the expo, it said.
