SER to run 5 winter specials

KOLKATA, Dec. 12

IN addition to the 10 pairs of Kurla-bound superfast winter special trains announced earlier, South Eastern Railway (SER), in a bid to clear the extra rush of passengers, has decided to run 5 pairs of premier superfast weekly special trains between Howra h and Lokmanya Tilak terminus (Kurla) between December 16 and January 15, 2002.

According to an official announcement made here, the train will leave Howrah on every Tuesday at 11.15 p.m., reaching Kurla every Thursday at 7.40 a.m.

In the return direction, the train will leave Kurla at 8.20 p.m. every Sunday, and reach Howrah at 4.45 am every Tuesday. Besides the pantry car, the special will have one AC two tier, two AC three tier, seven-sleeper class and two general second class c oaches.
