Global wheat output may remain below offtake
FOR the third consecutive year (2001-02), global wheat production is expected to remain below consumption and global stocks will fall to their lowest levels in 13 years.

Trading in leather improves
Comparing to last few weeks, the week has seen little improvement in the trading of all kinds of leather because of the demand from the domestic manufacturers of leather footwear and leather goods for the ensuing festival seasons namely Diwali, Ramzan an d Christmas in coming months.

Rubber
Rubber prices firm up
Though the rubber market has failed to get back to normalcy despite the withdrawal of the traders' strike, rubber prices have firmed up on Monday.
