Palio launch in Goa tomorrow

CHENNAI: Fiat India Ltd (FIL), the subsidiary of the Italian car major - Fiat SpA, is formally launching the Fiat Palio, in Goa on September 21.

The Fiat Palio, a globally popular small car and the company's latest offering in the Indian passenger car market, is being unveiled to Fiat dealers and associates.

The company's brand ambassador and popular cricketer Sachin Tendulkar is expected to attend the launch ceremony. FIL has also named the top-end variant of the Palio as T-Max.

Industry sources also said that FIL, in collaboration with Fisaf Ltd, its joint venture financing arm with the Chennai-based Sundaram Finance, is working out new financing schemes for the Palio. This would include a loyalty programme for current Fiat veh icle owners, the sources said. -- Our Bureau
