Leapfrog and catch up, says ILO
WHILE there's no doubt that the use of ICT (Information and Communications Technology) will determine the impact on the global employment pattern, the World Employment Report 2001 of the International Labour Organisation (ILO) says that barely six per ce nt of the world's population have logged onto the Net -- and more than half the world's population are yet to make their first phone call.
