Monisha Shah is BBC India Director

NEW DELHI, May 1

MS Monisha Shah, BBC Worldwide's Territory Manager of South Asia, has been appointed Director of BBC Worldwide India Pvt Ltd.

Responsible for BBC Worldwide's non-news business activities across South Asia, she will now join representatives of BBC World on the board to formulate and implement BBC Worldwide's strategy for India across both news and non-news activities.

Ms Shah has been responsible for the production of a Hindi version of `Yes Minister' called `Ji Mantriji' on Star Plus and conducting a feasibility study on digital terrestrial transmission for Doordarshan.
