BSL Ltd net higher at Rs 5.53 cr

NEW DELHI: BSL Ltd, a L.N.J. Bhilwara group company, has reported a 13.79-per cent increase in net profit for the year ended March 31, 2001 at Rs 5.53 crore against a net profit of Rs 4.86 crore recorded in the previous year.

Net sales of the company for the period under review increased to Rs 163.97 crore (Rs 153.49 crore). Other income stood at Rs 0.51 crore (Rs 0.03 crore).

While interest outgo for the year ended March 31, 2001 stood at Rs 10.22 crore (Rs 10.93 crore), depreciation charges for the period under review stood at Rs 9.25 crore (Rs 9.60 crore).

The board of directors has proposed a dividend of Rs 1.80 per share for 2000-01. The paid-up equity share capital of the company stood at Rs 7.33 crore as on March 31,2001. -- Our Bureau
