STG bags software contract from Army
NEW DELHI: Software Technology Group (STG), an IT services organisation, has bagged a Rs 1- crore order from the Indian Army's Embarkation Headquarters for system integration.
The software under development at STG's software development centre in Mumbai would be implemented across 3 locations there.
It will manage the import and export of equipment for all the three services-- Army, Navy and Air Force.
In addition, the defence public sector units and Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd (HAL) to which the Army Embarkation Headquarters caters would also benefit.
The software is expected to have 17 modules, including automation activities of rail, shipping and docks branch.
The STG will provide a turnkey solution, which will include supply of hardware, software and implementation of the network. -- Our Bureau
