Lyons Range

THE Kesoram Industries counter moved up on Wednesday to close at Rs 25 against the previous closing of Rs 23.90 at the Calcutta Stock Exchange.

The other gainers included the scrips of Tata Steel (1.19 per cent), Exide (0.82 per cent) and SBI (0.42 per cent).

The day's session saw heavyweight technology shares ease substantially. The counters of Satyam Computers, DSQ Software, Digital Equipment, Silverline, Pentamedia Graphics and Zee Telefilms declined by 7.36 per cent, 6.35 per cent, 4.46 per cent, 3.47 per cent, 3.19 per cent and 2.59 per cent respectively.

The Tata Engineering stock closed 2.52 per cent lower. The CSE-50 Index closed at 107.77 points against the previous closing of 108.29. The total turnover of the exchange stood at Rs 936.34 crore. -- Our Bureau
