Mattel Fisher-Price launches Smartronics

CHENNAI: Mattel Toys has introduced Smartronics, a range of learning aids for infants and toddlers. Introduced under the Fisher-Price brand, this range of electronic toys combines education and entertainment, according to a press release. Three toys are being introduced under the Smartronics range _ Nursery Rhymes Bus, Sing n Count Sheep and Alphabet Nest a Mals.

The Smartronics range has features such as marginal motion, music and bright lights that both teach and entertain. Teaching is in the form of alphabets, animal sounds and names, stacking and nesting, while entertainment is in the form of fun, music, brig ht lights and sounds. The toys have been designed and developed with focus on play safety and child development. The release claimed that these toys developed motor skills; encouraged cognitive abilities as different sized items introduced the concept of size relationship; taught language basics; stimulated the senses; and promoted social and emotional development. -- Our Bureau
