Eco-friendly fabrics
CHENNAI: The Ahmedabad-based Group Ashima, a cotton textile manufacturer and exporter of India, has unveiled its eco-friendly, 100 per cent cotton fabrics for trousers, called the EuroSoft Collection. The collection is an outcome of Ashima's European des
ign team's product development endeavors, according to a press release.
The range will be available in India from this autumn. The company has developed these so-called `not-so-easy-to-make' fabrics for the Indian brands. Group Ashima will supply this fabric to all leading brands for manufacturing apparels catering to a wide
customer base, claimed the release.
The garment cutter will enjoy benefits such as extra fabric yield due to higher than normal width of fabrics. The release said the cutter would also save time and money in garment processing as these fabrics needed only a water wash. Normally garments pr
oduced out of other similar fabrics require extensive garment processing. In addition, EuroSoft fabric also offers built-in wrinkle-resistant properties. -- Our Bureau
