UPASI annual conference next month

COONOOR: The 107th annual conference of the apex body of planters - the United Planters' Association of Southern India (UPASI) - is scheduled for September 12.

The conference is to be inaugurated by the Union Minister of State for Commerce, Mr. Omar Abdullah. The main conference is to be preceded by a workshop on the World Trade Organisation on September 11. A two-day industrial exhibition is being planned on t he preceding and the main conference day.

The annual sports competitions are being organised between September 5 and 9, according to a release from UPASI.-- Our Bureau
