VinCom unit in India

CHENNAI: ``VinCom Inc, a US-based software services company having offices in Minnesota and Michigan, has set up a wholly-owned subsidiary in Coimbatore.

The Indian start up has been initially funded for about Rs. 50 lakhs by the parent company -- which has a tie up with Dhal Consulting Inc of Minnesota, and SRC Systems of Georgia. A further investment of Rs. 3 crores will be brought in the ne xt 3-4 months to manage and promote the company's portals.

The company will launch two industry specific B2B portals for the Indian castings/forging industry and the pump industry -- www.indocastings.com and www.indopumps.com. These portals will be virtual industrial complexes for the concerned industries , and are planned to be fully functional by the third quarter of this year, a company press release said. -- Our Bureau
