CMG strikes Corba pacts

BANGALORE, Jan. 18

COMPONENT Management Group (CMG) is launching its Component Academy programme in India and Sri Lanka to offer training in Corba (Common Object Request Broker Architecture), a standard for distributed objects. For the purpose, CMG has entered into strateg ic alliances with four software training institutes in India and one in Sri Lanka.

Addressing press persons here on Tuesday, the CMG Chairman, Mr. Thomas Mowbray, said the Component Academy programme was his company's global initiative to provide high-quality professional software services.

The CMG President and CEO, Mr. Sunil Dutt Jha, said: ``We have structured the courseware keeping the market in mind and our strategy would be to fill in the gap that exists in the current programmes offered by other institutes. We are also planning to se t up Component Academies across the SAARC and Asia-Pacific regions later to create a global skill base of component technology professionals.''
