Cipla posts marginal rise in Q3 net
MUMBAI: Cipla Ltd has reported a marginal 5 per cent increase in net profit at Rs. 34.82 crores for the third quarter ended December 31, 1999, as against Rs. 33.08 crores in the corresponding period last year.
Net sales increased to Rs. 187.15 crores from Rs. 163 crores. Other income stood at Rs. 7.22 crores (Rs. 8.70 crores).
Total expenditure of the company stood at Rs. 143.50 crores (Rs. 124.44 crores). Depreciation increased to Rs. 3.75 crores (Rs. 2.80 crores) and provision for taxation to Rs. 12 crores (Rs. 11 crores).
For the nine months ended December 31, 1999, net profit increased 15 per cent to Rs. 102.72 crores as compared to Rs. 89.06 crores in the corresponding period last year.
Adikari Brothers Q3
net up, interim 18%
MUMBAI: Sri Adikari Brothers Television Network Ltd (SABTNL) has reported a 150 per cent increase in net profit at Rs. 5.05 crores for the third quarter compared to Rs. 2.02 crores in the corresponding period last year.
The board of directors of the company has recommended an interim dividend of 18 per cent.
Income from operations during the third quarter increased by 34.74 per cent to Rs. 11.88 crores from Rs. 8.81 crores.
For the nine-month ending December 1999, the net profit has risen to Rs. 12.59 crores (Rs. 5.13 crores).
Chettinad Cement
reports loss in Q3
CHENNAI: Chettinad Cement Corporation Ltd has reported a net profit of Rs. 15.16 crores for the nine-month period ended December 31, 1999, an increase of 21 per cent from Rs. 12.57 crores reported for the corresponding period the previous year.
Income from operations was at Rs. 156.35 crores (Rs. 151.81 crores). Other income was at Rs. 0.44 crores (Rs. 0.74 crores). Total expenditure was at Rs. 102.90 crores (Rs. 130.48 crores). Interest and lease rentals was at Rs. 19.55 crores (Rs. 22.23 cror
es). Depreciation was at Rs. 19.18 crores (Rs. 14.27 crores).
For the third quarter ended December 31, 1999 the company has reported a net loss of Rs. 1.86 crores on a turnover of Rs. 44.29 crores. For the corresponding third quarter ended previous year the company had recorded a net loss of Rs. 1.44 crores on a tu
